“Do you remember? 21st night of September?” I sure do. I spent the evening with Danielle and Robert for their elopement. The night was all sorts of magical, wonderful and beautiful. I first met up with Danielle and Robert at the yurt they were staying at in Coram. There I captured their first look. The first look was so sweet, Robert turned around, trying to fight back his tears, he took a few steps away to take a moment (CRY IN FRONT OF ME ITS OKAY AND I WANT TO CAPTURE THOSE TEARS ON CAMERA LOL). After the first look, we drove over to the their ceremony location, which was in a field surrounded by mountains and hills and got them hitched. Afterwards we ventured into Glacier Park to capture some stunning photographs with them + their love, surrounded by the most majestic mountains.
The wonderful thing about September in Glacier National Park, is that its the time of the year where the busy season has finally died down and our community that is typically bustling with travelers in the Summer, is entering its shoulder season. The leaves are turning from bright greens to shades of orange, red, and golden tones. The air is still warm, but not too hot AND Going to the Sun Road is still usually open (which is, in my opinion, the most scenic parts of the park).
Their evening ended at dusk, the sun dipped below the mountain tops and we headed our separate ways. I love adventurous elopements because the day is truly about the couple and their ADVENTUROUS LOVE STORY. Which is what true love is, isn’t it? An ADVENTURE.
If you’re thinking about having an elopement in Glacier National Park….. do it.
